Project Team:
Henry A. Kilburn, PSM - Project Manager Michael Joyce - Field Crew Supervisor
Envisors served as the surveying consultant for Berry Development for a large property acquisition of a 284-acre site for development located within Polk County. The surveying was very complex and the scope of work included:
- Preparing a boundary and 1-foot topographic survey lying within four sections and two townships
- Retracing and resolving significant, long-standing section and township boundary conflicts
- Resolving boundary matters associated with two turn of the century plats contained within the project limits
- Preparing numerous legal descriptions associated with this project
- Surveying the wetland limits and 100-year flood plain limits/contour along the frontage of three lakes, totaling about 20,000 lineal feet
- Conducting an onsite survey for protected and endangered flora and fauna species
- Determining the developable acreage which was the basis of Berry's land purchase
- Preparing detailed, scaled drawings which illustrate the survey results
- Assisting with evaluation and research of existing and historical deeds, easement documents, and plats with respect to impact on title and boundary determination
Envisors completed all of this work on time and within budget.
