Envisors Recently Adds Terrestrial 3D Laser Scanning to its Land Surveying Department

Envisors is pleased to announce it has recently added the latest Land Surveying and Mapping technology, "Terrestrial 3D Laser Scanning" to its toolchest. The new 3D Laser Scanner enables Envisors to collect large amounts of data more accurately and efficiently. This advanced technology diversifies our surveying and mapping services, and furthers our ability to "meet our clients' needs by exceeding their expectations." As illustrated in virtual 3D imagery from Envisors' ongoing project for the City of Lakeland, Florida, Terrestrial 3D Laser Scanning enabled Envisors to collect millions of data points to create precise 3D digital terrain models depicting intricate countour features of their coal piles for volume estimation purposes. This data was collected faster and more accurately than with conventional surveying methods. Terrestrial 3D Laser Scanning is safer and more cost effective than most conventional surveying methods and can be applied on any type of survey project. Some of the benefits of Terrestrial Laser Scanning include the ability to collect more field data in less time, obtain higher level of detail, shorten project turn-a-round times, decrease construction cost and delays with higher quality data, reduce ambiguity and return trips to the field, and solve site access and safety issues with unobtrusive data capture.
