The primary purpose of this project was to evaluate the existing geometric conditions of the intersection and prepare contract bid documents for construction of the roadway approaches and mast arm signal for the intersection of SR 25 (US 27) and Crump Road in accordance with a newly completed warrant study prepared by HNTB for the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT).

R.A. Florida Development, Inc. (RAFD) purchased approximately 300 acres of citrus grove on each side of Adams Barn Road in Polk County for development as a 650-unit single family residential community. In order to accommodate the proposed subdivision, RAFD agreed to improve one mile of Adams Barn Road from an old substandard grove road, which was maintained by Polk County and served as the dividing line between the cities of Auburndale and Lake Alfred.
